Law Of Attraction – Have You Set Your Goal For The Day?

By Dr. Frank Harber | October 29, 2008

By Joylee Masters

The Law of Attraction is certainly a very attractive thing. You can attract the things that you would like right to you – and enjoy the type of life that you’d like to lead, as long as you know how to work with the Law of Attraction. One of the most important things that you can do is focus on goal setting. Goal setting is what makes the Law of Attraction obtainable to anyone. If you can succeed at setting goals, you’ll see success in obtaining them – and the Law of Attraction will be harnessed by you.

Goal Setting – Positive And Reliable

One of the most important factors of the Law of Attraction is making sure that attract positive things to you in your life, through your words, your thoughts, and your actions. Instead of focusing on the things that you do not want to have happen, you must focus on the things that you would like to happen.

For instance, if you are worried about your job future, constantly thinking that you do not want to get fired is going to attract that exact thing to you. You should instead focus on the fact that you will succeed in your job and move higher into success.

Goal setting is important because it is, in all fairness, a positive way of thinking about what you hope to achieve. It isn’t often that a person sets a negative goal – most goals are positive thoughts “I will lose 10 pounds”, or “I will find a happy relationship”. Setting goals is an easy way to begin to bring positivity into your world.

Goal setting is also reliable. You are making factual statements, and you are making positive factual statements. As long as you are setting goals that you have the ability to achieve, you will be able to do so quite easily.

Deciding What You Want Makes The Law Work Better

Part of the Law Of Attraction is that you should be attracting the things that you want to you. If you aren’t aware of the things you want, how can you expect the Law to bring them to you? It isn’t as if you want to be surprised by good things. There are definite things that you would like in your life, and by setting goals for these things, the Law of Attraction can bring them to you.

Making decisions is the best way to form a concrete vision in your mind about what it is that you truly want. By setting goals, and doing creative visualization, you can allow the Law of Attraction to work for you. Goal setting is a way of making decisions. It enables you to be completely aware of what it is that you would like, and once you are aware of what you want you can focus on the positive energy that it will take to bring that thing toward you. Goal setting can help you achieve this, through the Law of Attraction.

Motivation And Goal Setting For Success

By Dr. Frank Harber | October 23, 2008

By Koz Huseyin

Do motivation and goal setting go together? Can motivation and goal setting propel you to your goals? What is more important, goal setting or motivation? Continue reading to find out the answers to these important questions.

In this article, you will find:

* A Look At Motivation And Goal Setting And Achieving Success

* Why!

* Getting More Motivated

* A Look At Motivation And Goal Setting And Achieving Success

When we take a look at motivation and goal setting, what are they exactly? If we think of motivation, and consider that motivation is fuel. Then goal setting is guiding that fuel in a given direction.

So, which is more important in motivation and goal setting? They both go hand in hand. The motivation is needed so you can get off the ground and take action. Without a goal there is no need to be motivated, after all what would you be motivated about?!

* Why!

If your level of motivation dictates whether you will even see your goal, how are you going to get motivated? The answer is your why. Why do you want this goal in the first place? Your level of motivation will be born from your why.

Why do you want that house, why do you want the million dollars, why do you want a certain type of woman? Why? Asking these questions will give you a reason to continue. So many people often will simply leave it at ‘I want to get rich’, but this has no level of motivation, and ultimately they fail. Symbols are not things that give us long term motivation.

* Getting More Motivated

We now know that motivation is a key ingredient. Yes, motivation and goal setting go together, but there is a difference. Your goal could take a few seconds of your time to think about or it could take an hour, a day, week or even years, but your motivation must be constant.

Getting more motivated requires several points to consider. These are your questions. A good place is to begin with your why. This acts as a litmus test also. Knowing your why, when setting your goals, you will get motivated. However, if you feel that you can’t get motivated, then consider whether this is simply wanting things that others want, and not what we want. Everyone wants to get rich, but maybe you don’t. Maybe you do want it, and have real reasons. This will give you the motivation to achieve the results.

Results are born out of motivation, and your motivation and goal setting go hand in hand. You must know why you want something, so you can achieve it. Far too many people hope, few try, and even fewer succeed. Many who try never succeed because there thoughts are simply materialistic. No, you don’t want to eat, you want to eat because it gives you nutrition to live another day.

My purpose of enlightening you on how to set your career goals effectively here is to make it as simple as possible. There are 12 easy to do steps:

1. Determining how much extra money you wish to make.(a specific financial goal)

2. Setting a time frame or deadline to achieve that financial goal you have set above.

3. Identify a clear purpose of WHY you wish to achieve that financial goal. This is crucial as it will give you a constant motivation and direction to keep you focusing on your financial goal throughout the process.

4. Set aside a specific time daily dedicated for this project. Block it on your calendar and do not allow other matters to interfere you for the time you have set apart.

5. Start by identifying an area where you have passion, strong interest, or area that you have skills, technical knowledge or experience. This is important as it will ensure the end result of your project much more effective and efficient.

Do You Know What You Want When Setting Goals

By Dr. Frank Harber | September 20, 2008

By Koz Huseyin

For most people, knowing what they want is a question which eludes them. Asking many people about what they really want, you will find they don’t really know. Yes, we all get the inspiration on the TV but for the most part, these products are not what people want. As you read this article, you will discover the truth about what you want.

About 20,000 advertising messages come to us daily. This is a big number! And from lenders offering your mortgages, to the latest credit cards, and cars, we are constantly bombarded with messages which most likely will not help us.

Setting goals is about knowing what you really want. But, often goal setters can get into a position of doing what the Jones’s are doing. For example, it is a fundamental in western societies that you must either aim for or is expected that – you will own at least 1 car, at least 1 home, and have a family.

People strive for this; however, some people don’t really want that. Some people may want to travel by other means, live in different places, and do things differently. This is goal setting at its best.

And even though we will all want the good things in life, we have a different take on what our ideal lives will be like. And here is where goal setting becomes an important aspect in taking control of your life, into a direction of your choosing.

To look at goal setters, we find that we can find 2 main types of goal setters. Those who set goals based on material wants, and what would get others to get impressed, also known as ego goals; and the other is the desire goal setter.

There is a fundamental difference between the ego goal setter and the desire goal setter. For example an ego goal setter will set a goal to make $1,000,000, purely for splashing out, and boasting. The desire goal setter will have a goal which is based on a higher principle.

It is best to look into the desire type of goal setter. This is important, because in all I have seen, it is the desire based goals which are almost guaranteed to become reality. Desire goals are goals which generally come from deep within. Like the love of a woman or man, you generally can’t put your finger on that love, and why you have it. It seems like a desire that is deeper than you.

How to Make Your Goals a Reality

By Dr. Frank Harber | September 20, 2008

By Alison Fadoul

“Citius, Altius, Fortius” which is Latin for “Faster, Higher, Stronger”, was the 2008 motto for the Olympic games. These three words convey an ideal that calls for personal excellence; in essence that giving one’s best and striving for personal excellence is a worthwhile goal.

We can look to Team USA’s sweep in the 400-meter hurdles as the ultimate embodiment of that ideal. Silver medallist Kerron Clement predicted that his team would take home the gold, silver, and bronze medals and that is just what they did. Team USA clearly took the Olympic motto to heart and were able to realize their goals. Fortunately for us, this is a motto that transcends the Olympic games and can be applied to our every day lives.

A major factor in making your goals a reality is to believe in the possibility. Here are three tips to help you make your goals a reality!

Tip #1: Envision It: You have to see it to believe it. Take a moment to envision yourself achieving your goals. You may want to take it a step further and write your goals down in an effort to make them more tangible.
Tip #2: Believe In It: You have to believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals if you have any chance of succeeding in making them a reality.
Tip #3: Work For It: Making your goals a reality will not happen by accident. You need to work for it in order to make your goals a reality.

Motivating Students Through Self Goal Setting

By Dr. Frank Harber | September 19, 2008

By Koz Huseyin

The process of motivating students through self goal setting is an important one, and one that is often overlooked. There is nothing better in not just a students life, but in all humans lives, the act of goal setting. In educating students, the best gift you could ever give them is foundations, and foundations are what goal setting is about.

Imagine for a moment a student’s formal educational life. The student will go through maths, not for the ability to do algebra, but to be able to handle the opportunities and obstacles that life presents.

A student will learn English, not to be able to write a novel, but to be able to communicate effectively with others. This all comes together, but often the most important aspects that a student should learn, they will never learn.

As a custodian of individuals who will one day be at the forefront of generations, these little things which can make a big difference, are something that curriculum should encompass, but doesn’t. As you learn these principles, you can impart them on your students.

So, why goal setting? Why is motivating students through self goal setting important? Humans are like goal striving organisms. We get hungry, we find what we need, and meet that need.

Goal setting becomes a system rather than a simple process of cars, houses, etc. Goal setting becomes an important aspect not just in material goals, but also other aspects, such as today, in the student’s education.

But here is where golden things happen. Goal setting and goal achievement do 2 things. The first is that the achievement of a goal allows the student to gain confidence. The second point is the actual process of thinking what you want, and taking the steps. This again gives a confidence in self.

Shy people become confident, and failing students become major successes. Motivating students through self goal setting is the best way to get students to think for themselves. When a student knows what, and why, they can work to achievement.

When a student is not totally interested in education, but learns about goal setting, they often can find a relation between the topic and their own lives. For example, knowing maths allows the student to be confident with handling money, and perhaps stopping themselves from getting ’short changed’.

How to Achieve Your Goals in Just 90 Days

By Dr. Frank Harber | September 19, 2008

By Adrienne Smith

Goals can be achieved in as little as 90 days. The problem most people have is that they do not have a system set up in place to help them successfully implement their goals. Here are some easy tips to help you successfully map out a plan in order to achieve your goals in the next 90 days:

1. Write a list of every single task that you know will help you move closer to achieving your goal. They can be as small as not answering the phone while I am working on my tasks to blocking out four hours a day in order to work toward my goal.

2. Now, pick three to five tasks from your list that you know you can do each and every day for the next 90 days straight. Do not write things down that you know you will struggle with or that you may not be able to accomplish. Make them attainable, yet necessary in order to move toward achieving your goal.

3. Faithfully complete the tasks you have chosen every single day for the next 90 days. You heard me, every single day for the next 90 days. As you go along, you will feel a satisfaction of having accomplished the necessary task that is moving you one step closer to achieving your goal.

4. After your 90 days are up, make your list for the next 90 days and continue on until you have accomplished your goal. This is the only way you will stay disciplined enough to move closer to achieving what you have set out to achieve.

How Can Goal Setting Worksheets Help You

By Dr. Frank Harber | September 19, 2008

By Koz Huseyin

Goal setting can be done in many ways. For example, you could simply think about it, make big plans or even use goal setting worksheets. Success is determined by a system that can streamline the process. Join me as you discover how goal setting worksheets can help you.

In any goal, there is always a way for its achievement. We can look at the success as a spectrum. On the one end, failure, and on the other, success. To achieve success then needs to do things different. After all, we see many people who have a goal, even if they haven’t consciously thought about it. For example, those who want a Yacht, and want to retire to a sunny beech, but in most cases never do.

I truly believe that every goal you desire for the fulfillment of, you can achieve. However, tools are needed. You can’t put on a new tire on a car, without effective tools, not can you succeed without the effective tools.

In goal setting, this is the goal setting worksheets. You see, from that spectrum of success, we can see less we do, less we get, and the more we do, the more we get. This applies in most cases but not all cases.

You could plan to make a cup of coffee, and make it into a 100 page business plan of how you will make the coffee. What we need is a simple way to do things. A goal setting system with goal setting worksheets that make this possible.

There are many places that offer goal setting worksheets, and some even offer comprehensive goal setting systems. These can be a great way to keep things simple, without having to fall short on the necessities of goal setting.

You can think about a cup of coffee and make it without plans; however, you can’t just leave your life goals to such chances. They must at the very least be written down on paper. Even if you don’t have a goal setting system, simply writing it down, will improve the likelihood that you will achieve that goal.

If we look at that success spectrum again, we will find that there are things we can do to either make it more likely to manifest in our lives, and decrease the time to achievement. Achieving both of these is a science and an art in goal setting.
